Over 300 SKUs of connectors,
cables and spools of wire. We surveyed the retail landscape and found a mass
of disorganization within the home audio/video/phone accessory category. First,
we looked at the basics. A simple color code system with easy to read category
type. Subtle background images enhanced the overall look and would help end-users
further differentiate categories. Products were clearly displayed in blister
packages with clear, concise descriptive copy. The new package design helped
Leviton expand their distribution in a category where packaging is basically
the only point of differentiation.
