Bold graphics designed to make a bold statement in an expanding market niche. A wide range of packaging concepts was reviewed in the process of creating the New Moon brand. The designs ranged from the origins of chai, old world India images to the "mystic aura" associated with the Eastern Indian culture and its relation to the new age movement. Another important consideration was the package configurations, we would have to select a design that worked well on a 10 oz. "Prisma" package with a foil surface, as well as a standard 32 oz. brick pack. The Old World India graphics were not compatible with the small foil package, however the bolder new age design worked equally well on both configurations. And at retail the bold design offered eye-stopping impact while positioning New Moon for success in a crowded niche.
